The festival, which is also the addition of an extra step this year to present emerging artists announce more bands and everyday lineup soon.

Here's a closer look at some of the marquee artists playing the festival this year:

OutKast : The duo of Atlanta, one of the first champions of Southern rap , released five acclaimed studio albums - as well as Idlewild, a polarizing film and accompanying soundtrack - before going on hiatus in 2007 , after Andre 3000 Big Boi and embarked on solo careers. The duo announced earlier this year that they would be reuniting for a tour of festivals in North America.

Jack White: Even after the dissolution of his most famous band, the White Stripes, White continues to be a multi-tasker noted. Besides his work with the pop-oriented and darker Dead Weather Raconteurs, launched his solo career in earnest with the album 2012 Trabuco, which continued to expand the palette of an artist whose first blues -rock to The White Stripes was proudly characterized by self-imposed limitations.

Arctic Monkeys: Rock quartet from Sheffield, led by Alex Turner, remains one of the greatest acts of England - last year led the massive Glastonbury festival, and recently copped the first prize at the Brit Awards, including best group British and best British album - although not the same level of success approaches in North America, a fairly common phenomenon experienced by the main events in the UK.

Skrillex: The dubstep DJ and producer from Los Angeles, one of the biggest names in electronic music, announced Tuesday that his first solo studio album, Recess, will be released Tuesday. A highly sought-after producer and collaborator, Skrillex led the electronic music festival touring Full Flex Express in 2012, which included a stop at Île Notre- Dame.

Lorde :
The teen singer and songwriter from New Zealand stormed the charts in 2013 with their infectious single Royals , their debut album, pure heroin , which was preceded a year earlier by an EP , The Love Club. The 17 - year-old , whose real name is Ella Yelich -O'Connor , was nominated for four Grammy Awards this year , winning two , for song of the year and best pop solo performance (for both the Royals ) .

The Replacements: One of the most beloved bands of the 1980s alternative rock, the band released seven studio albums during its initial run of 12 years - has been brief, intermittent meetings since then - none of which sold particularly well, but his discography is regularly cited as a key influence on the grunge movement, which began in earnest shortly after the Replacements disbanded in 1991.
